Why Peak Wheelchairs?
Our Mission: Commitment to a Better Life
We at Peak Wheelchairs are dedicated to providing products and
services that enhance the quality of life through improved comfort,
mobility, function and safety. We are committed to doing so with the
underlying principles of compassion, honesty and integrity.
More than Rubber and Metal
Wheelchairs are far more than a collection of rubber, metal, wires and
motors. They are the environment in which a person lives and functions.
Even small changes to seat angle, seat to floor height, armrest height,
for example, can have a dramatic effect on the quality of life and sitting
time. Taken as a whole, a wheelchair should fit a person's body, movements,
daily living routines and travel needs like a glove.
Peak is dedicated to using their skills and knowledge to tangibly
improve the quality of your life, not just sell you equipment. We use
an outcome measurement tool to visibly quantify and record these
life improvements.
Ups and Downs
The
world in which a wheelchair user must function is often not built for
them. Outdoor steps, second floors, and sunken living rooms all pose access
problems. For many, getting out of bed or out of a chair is difficult
or requires assistance.
Peak staff will use their expertise to find and install exactly
what you need to solve your access problems, choosing from the wide variety
of ramps and lifts. For the bedridden, we also install floor and ceiling
mounted patient lifts. For those with trouble standing, seat lift chairs
can help.
The Human Side
Peak
staff are truly compassionate, caring, and committed to integrity with
all parties, from customers and care givers, to clinicians and vendors.
Integrity means honesty, calling the shots candidly and truthfully every
time. And it means being our word, being where and when we say we will,
and delivering what we promise on time and on budget. The bottom line
is the well-being of our clients. We love what we do!
Peak staff are far more than just sales people. In addition to being
compassionate and helpful, they include:
