The
Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is a federal agency
within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. CMS runs
the Medicare and Medicaid programs - two national health care programs
that benefit about 75 million Americans. And with the Health Resources
and Services Administration, CMS runs the State Children's Health
Insurance Program (SCHIP), a program that is expected to cover many
of the approximately 10 million uninsured children in the United States.

Health Facilities Division assures that patients and residents receive
quality care from health facilities and programs which are licensed
and/or certified and promotes health and safety through on-site inspections
and complaint investigations. The division licenses, certifies and
inspects healthcare providers. |

Legal Center is committed to delivering the promise of the law to
people with disabilities and older people in Colorado by using the
legal system to protect and promote their rights through direct legal
representation, advocacy, education and legislative analysis.
Founded in 1976, The Legal Center offers all of the federally-mandated
Protection and Advocacy Programs for people with disabilities in
Colorado as well as The Client Assistance Program, the Long-term
Care Ombudsman Program and the Legal Assistance Developer Program
for Older People.

Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and Social Security Disability
Insurance (SSDI) work incentives are a means to retain both cash benefits,
SSI and SSDI, and health insurance benefits, Medicaid and Medicare,
